I can't edit the last post without it going crazy... I surprised Jon with a long weekend trip to Chicago. Jon has been working incredibly hard on stuff at school and I thought we could use a break. My parents watched Hultz for us while we spent some time together. It was a 10 hour drive so we checked out Harry Potter 7 on CD. We finished it right as we got home.
We spent Friday around town doing tourist stuff. We went to the Sears Tower, had lunch across the street while Jon finished his abstract to turn into his advisor, went to the Art Institute, had dinner at the Cafe Grand Lux (part of the Cheesecake Factory) and then finished the night seeing the Broadway play Wicked. It was incredible!
Saturday we slept in just a little and spent some time in the Chicago temple. That was really nice. We were able to take some family names through an endowment session. We had lunch with Kehinde (a friend from our days in Fayetteville) & his wife at a Filipino restaurant, then finished the night with the Chicago Symphony. Mitsuko Uchida direct the orchestra while she played the piano...it was AMAZING!
We're getting back into real life but grateful we had such a nice time together!

You saw Wicked! I am so jealous. That is my dream. I am so glad that you found my blog or vice versa. It is great to stay in touch with some people back in Arkansas. I miss it so much!
How fun!! That is great that you got to get out and have some alone time. I tell you what it only gets harder the more you have. We are still in Arkansas and I never want to leave, John has his own business, he runs a carpet cleaning business with Nick Peterson. He loves being his own boss and I love the hours. So where are you guys and what is your family up to?
